The Wikwemikong Development Commission (WDC) is now part of the Aboriginal Business Service Network (ABSN). Wiky’s ABSN site is a partnership between the WDC, the Canada Ontario Business Service Centre, and FedNor. Our site offers Band members access to comprehensive information about federal and provincial government services and programs directly related to small businesses.

This is a collection of books regarding many aspects of small business operation. Topics include business planning, company directories (an excellent place to look for suppliers), marketing, regulations / legal, etc.

We have two computer workstations available to the public, free of charge, where Wikwemikong Band members can research business-related topics. Some of the resources available include Strategis (Statistics Canada website), Micromedia, Stats-USA, as well as the Interactive Business Planner, which is an online business plan writing program. The other computer workstation may be used in business plan preparation. On-site personnel is available to provide assistance in accessing this information.
