[Hundley Researcher Terry Hundley is looking to prove the parents of his ancestor William T. Hundley. There is some evidence that he may be a descendant of Nehemiah Hundley and his son Randolph Hundley.
First Generation
1. William T. HUNDLEY was born 1818 in Virginia. He died 18 Sep 1889 at St. Joseph, Buchanan, Missouri.[Some secondary sources have submitted that William T. was born at Albemarle Co. which if true makes a case for William as grandson of Nehemiah]
William married Letitia N. HAYES, daughter of William B. Hayes and Lydia Elswick on 3 Jun 1844 in Montgomery Co., Virginia. Letitia was born 20 Nov 1811 in Virginia. She died 21 Jun 1892, St. Joseph, Buchanan, Missouri.In the 1850 census at 41 District, Montgomery County, Virginia, page 27, line 367. William T., 30 with Lettitia, 38 Eugene, 5, Melvina, 2, Zachary, 1 and Chester Wall, 11, stepson. Nearby at p. is William Hayes, 70, farmer born Pennsylvania with wife, Lydia, 70, daughter Eliza, 35 and granddaughter Ellen Wall, 8. Next to them is the family of their son William P. Hayes, 31, a carpenter.
In the 1860 census at Kingston, Roane County, Tennessee, page 23, line 113, is Wm. T. Hunley, 42, farmer born Virginia with wife Lettita, 48 and children, Eugene M., 14, Melvina C., 13, Zachary T., 11 and Josephine, 9.
In the 1870 census for Marion, Lawrence, Indiana, p. 433, William Hindely (sic) 51, farmer, born Virginia with wife, Letticcia, 60, born Virginia and daughter Josephine, 19.
In the 1880 census at Flora, Clay Co., Illinois, p. 342A, William T. Hundley, 62, born Virginia, parents born Virginia with wife, Leticia, 70, Keeping House, born Virginia, father born Pennsylvania, mother born Virginia and grandchild with them, Jessie, 7 born Illinois, father born Virginia, mother given as born Illinois.
They had the following children:
+ 2 i. Eugene M. HUNDLEY was born about 1846 in Virginia and died after 1898.
3 ii. Melvin Cox HUNDLEY was born 1847 in Virginia. He married Mary Jane Robinson, 18 Feb 1880 at Newton, Jasper, Indiana. No issue. He died after 1920 at Preston, Richland, Illinois. Mary J. died 3 June 1922 at Preston.
+ 4 iii. Zachary T. HUNDLEY was born 1849 in Virginia
5 iv. Josephene HUNDLEY was born 1851 in Tennessee. She married Pardon T. Locke, 1 Nov 1888 at St. Joseph, Buchanan, Missouri. She died after husband who died in 1915.
Second Generation
2. Eugene M. HUNDLEY (William T.) was born about 1846 in Virginia. He died 26 Feb 1926, Seiling, Dewey, Oklahoma.
Eugene married (1) Maria B. KINNAMAN on 22 May 1873 in Clay, Illinois. The marriage ended in divorce. She was residing at Clay Co., Illinois in 1880.In the 1880 census at Flora, Clay County, Illinois, (p. 351D) is a Mariah HUNDLEY, 34, born IN, Dress Maker who is divorced with two small children, Jessie E., 6 and Grace, 4, both born Illinois. Their parents are given as born in TN and IN. Mariah probably thought that her ex was born in Tennessee since that was where he came from last.
They had the following children:
6 i. Jessie E. HUNDLEY was born about 1874 in Clay, Illinois and died in 1924 at Flora, Clay, Illinois.
7 ii. Grace HUNDLEY was born about 1876 at Clay, Illinois and died in 1967 at Flora, Clay, Illinois.
Eugene also married (2) Sarah Jane CONCOUR daughter of John Concour and Mary Roderick on 21 December 1878 in Garnett, Anderson County, Kansas.In the 1880 census at Kansas

Hundley Researcher Terry Hundley descends from Earl.He married Viola “Villa” Mae ANDERSON July 30, 1905 in Waukomis, Garfield, OK, daughter of Jonathan Anderson and Hannah Douglas. She was born May 10, 1886 in KS, and died November 01, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Canadian County, OK.

10. v. Ruth Vivian Hundley was born abt 27 Jun 1898 at Kansas and died Jan 1976 at Yukon, Canadian, Oklahoma.
4. Zachary T. HUNDLEY (William T.) was born 1849 in Montgomery, Virginia and died after 1900 when he was at Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee.
Zachary married Cometia DAVIS on 24 Dec 1871 in Macon, Illinois. She was born abt 1856 in Naples, Scott, Illinois and died after 1900.In the 1880 census at 2nd Ward, Decatur, Macon, Illinois (p. 359B) Zachary T. Is George W. a second cousin to Zachary T. Hundley who had land nearby? If so then William T. is a grandson of Nehemiah Hundley d. 1831/3

Zach. T. Hundley was born in the Old Dominion, came to Illinois in 1869, and became a resident of Macon county in 1871. He is a graduate of the law department of Wesleyan University, class of '77. He was admitted to practice, on his diploma, at the June term of the Supreme Court of the same year, and in July opened an office in Maroa. He removed to Decatur in June, 1879, and in October of the same year formed a co-partnership with the eminent lawyer, Judge Nelson. Mr. Hundley has good intellectual ability, and attends carefully to business entrusted to his care. He promises to become an excellent lawyer.
