
Volleyball
The Port Bruce beach is a great place for a pickup volleyball
game. The annual Port Bruce championship game is held the last
Saturday in August.
1997 Sailing Champions - North Erie Yacht Club
Sailing
The North Erie Yacht Club sponsors both cruising and sailboat
racing events throughout the summer season. For the racing sailors
the major event is the Ashtabula race which is held the first week in
July. Many Port Bruce sailors are currently members of the Canadian
Yachting Association which oversees Canada's racing and recreational
sailing activities.

Fishing
Lake Erie Yellow Perch and Walleye are favourites for local and
visiting fisherman. The Department
of Fisheries and Oceans regulates Canada's fishing activities and Coast Guard Canada maintains
the pier light and navigation buoy at the entrance to the Port Bruce
harbour. Fishing licenses may be obtained locally at The Bruce
General store.
