Hi,
My name is Stuart Burgess, and I would like to show you some of my
work. These small-edition prints are created by hand using a process called
reduction-linocut. A piece of linoleum is carved, then ink is rolled on
and a series of prints pulled. The lino is cut some more and another colour
of ink rolled on and this second colour is added on top of the first. Eventually
4 or 5 colours can be built up, and an effective image created.
Most of these works are relatively small, 9 X 12 inches or thereabouts, but some recent images have been reaching 19 X 19. If you wish more information about any of the images on this web-site, please contact me at:
