
The first issue of the Wikwemikong Newspaper was published in September 1995. The "Wiky News" strives to reflect the positive events occurring within the community. The Wikwemikong Newspaper is an eight to twelve page publication that has a circulation of 1,000 throughout Canada, and is the only First Nations owned and operated newspaper currently available on Manitoulin Island.
The newspaper promotes an awareness of events, issues, and developments pertaining to the community of Wikwemikong.

The Wiky News is a monthly publication that is used to enhance communication needs within the community. The Wiky News will strive to uphold the uniqueness of the traditional, cultural, and educational aspects of the community.

Subscriptions are available at a cost of $25 Canadian, $35 USA, and $50 Overseas.
